Drupal Enterprise

Overview

Drupal is the official content management system (CMS) of the University of Minnesota. It is an open source content management platform used by many organizations around the world, including institutions of higher education, to build and maintain websites and web applications. The University has a robust list of available Drupal modules for organizing and presenting your web content.

Versions of Drupal

Drupal Enterprise 7 will retire in November 2022. UMN websites hosted in Drupal 7 must be moved to Drupal 9 by November 2022. Learn more about the Drupal transition.
Drupal Enterprise 9, the newest version of the content management platform, is now available for developers to explore and use.
Drupal Lite is a simpler version of the University's Drupal Enterprise platform. It is geared for anyone who is not a developer but would like to create a small or medium site. Drupal Lite 7 and Drupal Lite 9 will continue to be available and supported for the foreseeable future. Learn more about Drupal Lite.

Note: Drupal 8 was retired in July 2021 and is no longer in use at the University.
