Connect Chat is a real-time messaging feature that can connect you to other ServiceNow licensed users.
Note: OIT has a license for HipChat and will continue to use that tool for internal real-time messaging. OIT staff should not use ServiceNow Connect Chat.
You can start a chat with any other licensed ServiceNow user. Other users may not be expecting your chat, so you should always coordinate with your workgroup about standards for communication.
Whens someone initiates a chat with you, your Toggle Connect Sidebar icon will have a notification indicating the number of unread chats .
