Current Service Gateway users can use the tool to request services. Others can access the tool by requesting migration.
Data Network Services is aligning with University Services to provide project management on your small to large construction projects. Please continue to contact us, and we will ensure your requests are routed appropriately.
Log in to Service Gateway
Existing customers who have access to Service Gateway can use it to request and manage their voice and/or data network connections.
Requests are placed in a queue to be migrated on a first in, first out (FIFO) order, though higher priority may be given to a unit's migration based on the following:
Data security issues may require that a unit be migrated expeditiously.
Changes in departmental locations may either require migration or make it easier to accomplish migration.
The Office of Information Technology (OIT) contacts the requester to begin the migration into Service Gateway process.
The head of the requesting unit works directly with, or designates personnel to work with, a Service Gateway migration project manager.
The Service Gateway migration project manager provides a migration project overview, depicting the specific steps necessary for the conversion of the unit’s network connections. This overview includes:
Identification of all the unit's jacks and a determination of possible groupings.
Evaluation of current subnet(s) and an overview of the necessary steps to “right size” specific subnets, allowing the unit to have its own address space.
Readdress the unit's business plan, to include timeframes, number of workgroup, etc.
