Network Address Management

Like the street address for your home, a network address identifies your computer on the internet


All devices connecting to the Internet must have unique network addresses; it's the way the network knows your computer from someone else's, or your website from another. Internet Protocol (IP) is the communication method by which data is sent from one address to another. The University manages network addresses with Domain Name Service (DNS), and DHCP Configuration.

To manage the network addresses for your department, you need:
