By implementing a common process for requesting and implementing changes and by creating a Change Approval Board (CAB) to govern this process, the Office of Information Technology (OIT) will accomplish the following:

  • provide a consistent approach for scheduling and applying transparent changes to all of OIT's services
  • enable OIT customers to receive advanced notice about changes to OIT services
  • provide a single escalation path for change collisions
  • set standing change control windows and notification timelines that work for the University business calendar and all operational areas of OIT
