Information that shows in the Bio field within CRM often comes from external sources. Sometimes you will be interacting with a Prospect and new information is available that you may wish to update right away.
This article will show you how to manually access and update Bio data on a Prospect record. Internal business processes may differ regarding preferences of how and when to manually add information into CRM.
Updating Bios Information on a Prospect Record
If Needed Navigate to the Prospect Record
- Click on the Prospects Tab from your homepage if showing in your default tabs or click on the All Tabs (+) button and select Prospects from the list.
- At Prospects Home find the Prospect that needs the Bio edited from the list of Recent Prospects or by searching the appropriate dropdown selection in the View: menu and clicking Go!
- When the appropriate Prospect is visible, click on the Prospect Reference in the list to bring up the Prospect record.
Update Bios Information
- There are two ways to get to Bios information from the Prospect record:
- At the top of the Prospect record you can hover over the text for Bios. This will show any current Bios records and Edit can be clicked.
- Underneath the Prospect Detail section of the Prospect record there is a section titled Bios. This is where Edit action is able to be clicked
- At the top of the Prospect record you can hover over the text for Bios. This will show any current Bios records and Edit can be clicked.
- Clicking on Edit from either location brings you to the Bio Edit screen where you are able to update the Bio information.
- Once all desired fields have been manipulated, click on Save at either the top or bottom of the Bio Edit screen to save changes.
