We engage the University community in the integration of academic technologies into educational practice through course production, support for teaching with technology, and investigation of emerging technologies.
Course and media production services are available to University faculty and staff who would like to design and produce learning resources for face-to-face, hybrid, and online courses.
Academic technologists are available to help faculty and staff explore how to effectively incorporate technology into their academic practice to advance their teaching and research goals. We offer expertise in instructional design and teaching strategies that can be applied to common good technologies such as our course management system (Moodle) and related technologies (VoiceThread, Kaltura, and Turnitin). We offer one-to-one consultations and workshops throughout the year.
University faculty and staff who are interested in emerging technologies for teaching, learning, and research can investigate them through collaboration with academic technologists. Emerging technology investigations include pilot projects for courses, curricula, or projects; evidence-based reports and overviews; and presentations and other events.
Our services are offered free of charge for faculty and staff at the University of Minnesota. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a consultation or inquire about our services.
