VideoBlocks trial extends to standard service offering

January 28, 2016

“As a communicator working on campus, these resources are extremely useful and very high quality.”

Following a successful two-month trial of VideoBlocks for Education, the University has signed a multi-year agreement to provide this full suite of audio, video and graphic content as a standard service offering for students, faculty and staff.

Nearly 25,000 downloads were made over the course of the trial, with 89 percent of those surveyed expressing interest in continuing this service.

Feedback did identify a need for more diversity and agricultural content in the library, and VideoBlocks has agreed to tailor its more than $10 million of copyright-free digital content to better meet the needs of the University community.

Users who are logged on to the University’s network can access the VideoBlocks library through Select VideoBlocks, AudioBlocks or GraphicStock to access the type of content needed. Files should be downloaded individually from this library, and not stored on a shared server.

Please direct questions and comments regarding this service offering to Jack McTigue, Video Service Consultant.
