Urgent iPhone, iPad software security update
Apple yesterday released iOS 9.3.5, an important security update for iPhone and iPad that patches a serious security vulnerability known as Trident. No new features were added as part of the update, but Apple recommends that all iOS users download and install the update.
We have tested the download and installation of the security patch on the University's wifi networks, and have verified that there are no problems or issues with connectivity or use of the updated software.
You can download Apple iOS 9.3.5 by going to Settings > General > Software Update from your device, or you can connect your device to iTunes and install the update after downloading it through your computer.
