Student peer tutoring offered at Technology Help Walk-in locations

February 25, 2016

University of Minnesota students have access to one-on-one assistance in developing technical skills needed to complete their coursework through Student Technology Peer Tutoring. This service, offered at the Technology Help Walk-in locations, takes a focused approach to student support by tailoring expertise to specific technologies.

Technology peer tutoring is offered nearly every day of the week for a variety of technologies: Excel, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop), Matlab, or presentation software (Google Presentations, Keynote, PowerPoint and Prezi). An updated schedule is available on the Student Technology Peer Tutoring website.

While tutoring is scheduled in two-hour increments, individual sessions typically last 30 minutes. Students can check the calendar to see what technology is available and then drop by the appropriate Technology Help Walk-in location with their assignment(s) in hand. There is no need to make an appointment.

This service is only available during the fall and spring semesters on the Twin Cities campus. Six tutors, selected from our Technology Help staff and trained in providing one-on-one support, are available this spring.
