University Storage Services restored

Storage restored

The University’s storage services and associated systems, which became degraded at 2:10 p.m. on Monday, October 9, were fully restored this morning at approximately 4 a.m.

The team worked with the vendor to investigate the source of the disruption and stabilized the system. The following services that were affected are now operating normally:

  • General network storage drives (NFS and CIFS)
  • Media Mill
  • Media Magnet
  • 1-Button Studios
  • Perceptive Content
  • Axway and Autosys
  • Central Departmental Web Hosting
  • apps.umn.edu login services
  • Centergy Manager
  • PeopleSoft Application realm ("X: drive")
  • Finance fax service
  • Windows Batch share for Campus Solutions
  • Moodle “test” environment
  • Access to shared drives
  • Logins to University managed devices (Active Directory)

We continue to monitor the system closely but do not anticipate further end-user disruption at this time. Please visit the University’s Service Status page for any additional updates.
