Planned IT service interruption set for Jan. 9-10
Maintenance of our primary data center and the related service interruption is set to begin at 6 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9. It is expected that all affected services will be restored by noon Sunday, Jan. 10.
The annual event is critical to the maintenance, testing and repair of facility infrastructure, and requires a complete shutdown of the main data center. Last year's maintenance was deferred due to The Upgrade, and there are many outstanding needs that must be addressed, including server moves and facility maintenance. A list of affected services is available for review and will be posted on the IT Services Status page during the maintenance window.
We ask for your assistance in sharing this preliminary notification with others in your unit. Despite our best efforts to minimize disruption, we understand that this will affect many in our community.
Please watch for additional information as the date approaches, and direct questions and concerns to Joe Zanmiller, Service Director for Data Center Operations Services.
