Updated iOS, OS X software ready for use

The testing teams have determined these Apple software releases work well with the WiFi and Data Networks.

Apple's newly released updates to iOS (8.4, for mobile devices) and OS X (10.10.4, for desktop and laptop computers) are now recommended for use by the University community.

University staff have tested the updates on the wired and WiFi networks to ensure that updated devices work consistently in all University locations.

The testing teams have determined these Apple software releases work well with the WiFi and Data Networks at the University, and are encouraging students, staff, and faculty to update their devices, if possible.

  • To upgrade your iOS mobile device, open Settings, tap General, then Software Update.
  • To upgrade your OS X desktop or laptop device, open the Mac App Store, and click on the Updates tab.
