MyU & PeopleSoft will be unavailable during the PeopleTools upgrade on April 23-24

An update to the PeopleSoft development and operations platform (PeopleTools) and subsequent outage is planned for noon on Saturday, April 23 to noon on Sunday, April 24. While the update work in in progress, access to MyU, PeopleSoft core applications, and other applications dependent on them, will be unavailable.

The work being done is an update to the current version of PeopleTools to version 8.54. This update will ensure the University remains on supported versions of this platform, as well as prepare for future projects and long-term support of the PeopleSoft application platforms.

All PeopleSoft applications will be affected and unavailable while the update is in progress. And although no impact to end users is expected in general, users are advised to plan their work accordingly. In addition, PeopleSoft Finance will be unavailable for an extended time for normal weekend maintenance.

Based on their analysis to date, the update team anticipates there will be no action or change to business processes for most end users.

The update team plans to minimize any service disruption, and further information on the expected disruptions will be provided as it becomes available. Updates during the outage will be provided on the University’s Service Status page.
