New Google Drive feature: Document-sharing expiration dates
A new Google Drive feature gives users greater control of their document-sharing options. The new feature allows users to set an expiration date when sharing Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
How this new feature works
When adding a user to the list of people who can view or comment on a file, document owners now have the option to make that access temporary.
To do so, select the “File” menu and choose “Share” to access the sharing dialog box. Then select “Advanced” to set a custom date for each individual’s sharing settings (see screenshots below).
More information about this new Gmail feature is available in Google’s official Gmail blog.
