ImageNow to upgrade Feb. 20-21
The University will upgrade to ImageNow 7.1 on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 20-21, the project team responsible for the upgrade recently announced.
ImageNow, whose vendor is changing its name to Perceptive Content as part of the upgrade, is a widely used document imaging and management system at the University. While the upgrade is necessitated by the fact that the existing software will no longer be supported after May 31, 2016, the new software also offers enhanced user features.
For more than two months, the ImageNow/Perceptive Content project team has worked with key users and administrators to conduct testing in individual and group settings. With that process successfully complete, the team is preparing for the Feb. 20-21 upgrade process.
ImageNow/Perceptive Content will be unavailable during the upgrade process, scheduled to begin at 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20 and expected to be completed by noon on Sunday, Feb. 21. ImageNow/Perceptive Content will be unavailable during this outage period.
More information about the upgrade, including how to download the new Perceptive Content 7.1 client, will be included in an email to all ImageNow/Perceptive Content users next week, prior to the upgrade. The project team will also notify all users via email when the upgrade has been successfully completed.
If you have questions or concerns about the upgrade process, please contact the project team at firstname.lastname@example.org. Anyone with trouble downloading the Perceptive Content client following the upgrade should contact Technology Help.
