Duo Security requirement has begun
The Duo Security requirement has begun to roll out! Over the next 12 months, as UMN students, faculty, and staff reset their passwords, they will also enroll in Duo Security at the UMN Sign-in page.
We’ve made several enhancements that help people enroll in and use Duo:
A new and improved user interface for enrollment and adding/removing devices.
The ability to remember a device for 7 days
Enabling users to bring their own Security Keys as a faster and easier token option.
Technology Help is available
Help and information about Duo Security at the Sign in page is available!
For commonly-asked questions, we recommend you visit z.umn.edu/DotheDuo. The page provides information about how two-factor works, why we’re requiring it, and how to enroll in and use Duo Security.
Technology Help service desk
As always, Technology Help staff on all campuses are happy to answer questions and offer guidance.
Twin Cities Hands-on Duo enrollment support
Technology Help walk-in locations will have extra staff available to offer in-person Duo Security enrollment help on the following dates from 1-4 p.m. No appointment necessary.
We’ll continue to add dates, as needed. Check the Duo Security Hands-on Help calendar.
