Adobe Acrobat and Reader being upgraded
Over the summer, the Office of Information Technology (OIT) at the University of Minnesota began performing a mass update of all Adobe Acrobat and Reader versions to Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader DC. This upgrade is underway, progressing well, and will continue into the fall semester. System disruptions or downtime are not anticipated as a result of this upgrade. This mass update will affect all OIT centrally-managed devices (both Windows and Mac) and all devices that OIT patches. Adobe Acrobat and Reader XI will be out of support from Adobe in October 2017.
The most significant change that will affect end users is a new user interface within Adobe Reader and Acrobat DC, which is also now the default product included in newly-purchased equipment from the University of Minnesota Office of Information Technology.
