Voice System Modernization for Call Centers

The Office of Information Technology’s (OIT) Voice Network team is initiating a program to modernize voice systems and equipment starting this month. In phase one, they will work with call centers that use the Centergy Call Center Reporting tool to:

  • Replace the legacy (PBX) Call Center telephone system with Clearspan Call Center, a Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) solution; and 
  • Replace the Centergy Call Center Reporting tool with Clearspan Call Center Reporting tool by September 30, 2021.

The program to update voice systems will be conducted in phases. In phase one, the transition team will coordinate the migration of UMN Call Centers that use Centergy for reporting. Learn more about the Voice Modernization Project on the planned change page.
