Keep Critical Software Functioning While Working Remotely
All University Windows computers need to periodically check in to the University network and software license servers to continue to work properly and remain secure.
University faculty and staff and students using University Windows devices and working remotely will need to follow the following steps at least every 30 days to ensure you are able to continue to work without interruption.
- Log into your University computer.
- Connect to the University’s Virtual Private Network (VPN). Choose the "split tunnel" option. Note: If your department has a designated departmental VPN, please use that option.
- Leave the VPN connection running for a full business day to ensure all software updates are successfully completed (these will run in the background while you go about your daily work).
