University Information Security has a new information security awareness training course, titled “Information Security Awareness Training (Required).”

This training course is required for all new University of Minnesota employees. Information Security Awareness Training is designed to help faculty, staff, and student employees understand their role and personal responsibility in protecting University data and how to stay safe online.

An email notification from Training Hub ([email protected]) with a link to the course will be sent to all new employees. The course must be completed by the due date listed in the assignment email. Reminder emails will be sent to employees and supervisors if the training is not completed by then. The training takes about 30 minutes to complete, and may be done in more than one sitting.

Please note: All new employees hired after July 1, 2019 will be enrolled in December 2019. Going forward, new employees from the previous month will be enrolled once a month during the first week of every month.

To learn more about this required training, see the Information Security Awareness Training webpage. Questions about the Information Security Awareness Training should be directed to Technology Help ([email protected] or 612-301-4357) or University Information Security ([email protected]).
