Note: There appears to be a problem using Turnitin with group assignments requiring Online Text submission. There are two workarounds:
Use group assignments with File submissions only.
Don't use group assignments and keep the assignment submission as Online Text. Explain that only one submission should be made by the group members.
Grading a Group Assignment with Turnitin
After the group submits to the Assignment, the same Turnitin Submission ID appears next to all of the group’s submissions in the assignment Submission listing.
To grade a group’s submission:
Click the link to the assignment on the Moodle page. The assignment description page opens.
Click the View all submissions button. The assignment submissions page opens.
Click the Originality Score (percentage matching) or GradeMark (blue pencil) icon. The Document viewer appears. Note: If you use the arrows in the upper right to navigate between submissions, there will be only one submission per group.
Review the submission. In the upper right, enter a grade in the grade box.
Close the Document viewer window. If the score you entered in the previous step does not immediately appear in the Assignment submission listing next to the submission, it should appear within 1-2 minutes.
After grading, when students view their submission, each group member will see a link to the same GradeMark comments and feedback.
