After getting approval for a new course site and having the site made, there are many ways to begin to format your course site. This article covers some of the options for changing the overall course settings.
Setting up some basic course settings
Go to the course homepage.
Find the Administration block:
Click Edit settings.
On the Edit course site page, there are many options to consider. The following areas are standard options to decide upon.
In the Course summary text box, you may enter a summary for your course.
Select a Course Format for determining the layout of the home page. See Format a Course Homepage for more details on formatting options.
Select the Number of Sections from the menu.
If using a Weekly format, set a course start date, e.g., the date of the first Monday of the semester. Click the Date field and from the popup calendar, double-click the date.
