A Moodle quiz is a set of questions which can be automatically or manually graded. A quiz can contain questions of all the same type or have of mix of question types. Feedback to student responses can be given at any or all stages of the quiz process.
A quiz consists of three main parts:
A quiz shell or container with configuration settings. This creates the link to the quiz on the course site. See Creating a Quiz below.
The questions linked from the Question Bank.
The question order and point value, layout, and quiz score.
Creating a Quiz
Go to the course homepage and click Turn editing on.
Click Add an activity or resource in the section where you want to add the quiz.
Select Quiz from the list and click Add.
Enter a Quiz name.
Enter an Introduction. This is the pre-quiz information for the students on quiz content, time length, embedded images, URL links, etc.
Review and accept, or change the default settings for each category. See Edit Quiz Settings.
Click Save and Display. The quiz link appears immediately on the course site. Moodle Support recommends you hide the quiz until you have linked to questions in the Question Bank and set the quiz layout.
