For Launch container, pick whether the link should go to a new window or embedded into the Moodle window.
At the bottom of the page, click the Save and return to course button.
Click the link on the course homepage to be taken into the e-textbook.
**Before using VitalSource, instructors must agree to the terms of service.**
After agreeing to the terms of service, the book cover and contents will appear. Students will click the same link in order to access the text via their web browser.
If students or other instructors want to download the textbook to their desktop computer or mobile device, they need to go through additional steps:
Create a VitalSource Bookshelf account.
To do this, click the link on the Course Homepage to load the textbook in the browser.
At the top of the window, there is a note about creating your VitalSource Bookshelf account.
Once the account is created, users can download the VitalSource Bookshelf client application for Windows, Mac, Android, iOS (iPad/iPhone/iPod), and Kindle Fire. Steps for installing and configuring each app is available at http://support.vitalsource.com/kb.
