Moodle 2.8, 3.0: Implications of Changing your Internet ID
Applies to: Moodle 2.6, 2.8, and 3.0.
Changing your Internet ID can affect your access to many systems, not just Moodle.
It is your responsibility to notify each appropriate system manager of your Internet ID change. Once Central Accounts Administration has changed your Internet ID, you will not be able to log into some systems with either the old or the new Internet ID until system managers grant access to your new ID.
Open a Help Request with Moodle support using the Moodle Help Request Form to request a matching change in your Moodle ID. On the form, for the Course URL feel free to input N/A when requesting ID changes.
WARNING: Do not access Moodle until after your Moodle ID is changed or your previous work may be lost.
Students: Students may request an Internet ID change, but these requests are only granted under special circumstances. If a change is required, it should be done between semesters. If the change is made mid-semester, they may lose access to anything submitted before the ID change.
