SR - Term Selector (PS)

Description: Allows a user to select a term from a list of terms defined by the form builder.

Fields On Form:

  • Term List (Dropdown List)

Data:

  • Term ID
  • Term

Setup Prerequisites:

  • Setup Source of Current Term ID - This input will determine the term that is the basis for determining what is a past term and what is a future term. This input must map to another field that exists on the form. There are three options:
    • Integrated Component - Add an integrated component, that outputs the term ID, to the form on a previous page. (It can t be on the same page as this integrated component.)
    • Logic (Predefined) - Add a predefined logic that outputs the term ID to the form.
    • Logic (Literal) - Add a literal logic and manually enter the term ID.
      • The current term id needs to be a valid PeopleSoft term ID. Example: 1185
  • Setup Source of Campus ID - This input will determine which instructors appear in the dropdown based on the classes an instructor teaches. This input must map to another field that exists on the form.
    • Logic (Literal) - Add a literal logic and manually enter the campus ID.
      • The campus ID needs to be valid PeopleSoft campus ID in the following format: UMNTC

Setup Instructions:

After adding this component to a form, the following input will need to be set on the Form Structure page. (Refer to the input knowledge base article for additional details on setting inputs.)

  • Current Term ID - Select the Current Term ID source that was set up in the prerequisite.
  • Campus ID - Select the Campus ID source that was set up in the prerequisite.
  • Include Current Term - Determines if the current term will be included in the term list.
  • Number of Past Terms This determines how many terms prior to the current term that should be included in the term list.
  • Number of Future Terms This determines how many terms after the current term that should be included in the term list.
  • Term Order
    • Ascending - This will populate the term list in ascending order (from earliest term to latest term).
    • Descending - This will populate the term list in descending order (from latest term to earliest term).
