The tool is directly connected to OIT’s Google Analytics account. Google Analytics tracks visits to the IT@UMN site.
We have defined Custom Dimensions in Google Analytics giving us the ability to view the data (such as pageviews) based on our site's specific dimensions, such as Content Type (for example, Explore page, Self-Help Guide, News article, Technology page).
All pages in Drupal should have a Content Type specified. Some system-generated pages do not. If you log in to Drupal, and click Content and then Add content, you can see the list of all content types. For more information, see Select an Appropriate Content Type for IT@UMN Site Content. A webpage can have at most one content type.
Service Offering and Technology
These are optional fields on most content types in Drupal. A web page can have zero or more Service Offerings and/or Technologies associated with it. Example:
