How to Verify your Campus Telephone's Class of Service
This article will help you complete the following:
Obtain your class of service for your telephone number.
Determine if your class of service is set for local, long distance, or international long distance plus additional features.
Pick up your handset
Dial # * 110
The system will recite between 1 and 3 numbers. The following is a chart of the most common classes of service and their specifications.
Music on Hold
Music on Hold and Call Waiting
Off Campus Call Forwarding
Off campus Call Forwarding and Music on Hold
Off Campus Call Forwarding, Call Waiting, and Music on Hold
No "Info" or Operator Calls
No "Info" or Operator Calls w/Music on Hold
No "Info" or Operator Calls w/Call Waiting
No "Info" or Operator Calls, w/Call Waiting and Music on Hold
If you wish to change the Long Distance capability of your phone (either add LD to a phone that is restricted or restricting a phone that currently allows LD) please contact the Technology Helpline and ask them to submit a request to make this change.
