If you have an old CD/DVD that you no longer need, don't throw it into the garbage can. You can either send it to the ReUse Program or recycle it on campus.
Note: CD/DVDs with ePHI cannot use this solution. Email [email protected] for an alternative solution.
Preparing for Recycling/ReUse
If the CDs contain salable content, label them "ReUse" and leave at your nearest ReUse pick up location. If not, prepare the CDs/DVDs for recycling.
- Separate CD from jewel case
- If the jewel case has a paper insert, remove the insert and recycle it with Office Paper
- Package the CDs and jewel cases separately and label them "Recycle"
- Leave separated items at your nearest ReUse pick up location
