Hours of Operation

The virtual servers are available at all times except for scheduled maintenance periods. Normal work hours for the IT systems administrators are between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with on-call staffing for after-hours emergencies. Outside the normal working hours a “best effort” is made.

The System Status site shows the current status of this and other systems.

Upcoming maintenance events, planned outages, etc., are available on the Change Calendar. This shows upcoming activities that have been coordinated through the IT change process.

Service Usage Review

All virtual servers are reviewed in May of each fiscal year. A list of virtual servers will be sent to the respective department IT director or business unit director for review. This yearly review process will be used to remove unused virtual servers and recapture unused storage. Virtual servers identified for decommissioning will be turned off. After a three-month waiting period, the virtual server will be removed.
