Duo: Require Two-Factor Authentication for all University Sign-In Pages
The University is introducing an additional step to further protect your data. Duo Two-Factor Authentication is already used to keep secure applications, such as PeopleSoft, protected. The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is launching the option to use Duo Two-Factor Authentication for all University sign-in pages.
Please note that our nearest release (April 27th, 2017) is only for employees of OIT. The University-wide release is not yet scheduled.
Because this feature requires you to use two-factor for all logins, a secondary device limits the possibility that you cannot log in to your account because you forgot your cell phone or are away from your landline.
Is there a limit on number of devices?
There is not.
What are my options?
You can add a mobile phone, internet-enabled tablet, or landline phone.
Select Yes and hit submit; a confirmation page will appear.
Duo Two-Factor will not require you to log in or authenticate more frequently. It will simply add an additional layer of protection to your account login. If you have questions or concerns, please contact the Technology Help Desk.
