Aastra 9116LP phones come with 8 programmable memory keys that can be used to save frequently dialed numbers in a fashion very similar to speed dial.
This article will walk through the process of programming, editing and using these memory keys.
Identifying Memory Keys
Programming Memory Keys
To save or edit a number and name in a memory key:
- For a one touch memory key, press any of the seven lower memory keys. The screen will show
EMPTY
or whatever name and number has already been programmed into the memory key. For a two touch memory key, press the Shift (display will showSHIFT
) and then one of the memory keys. - Press Save. Display indicates
SAVE TO?
. - Press . Display indicates
ENTER NUMBER
. - Enter the number using the dialpad. You can enter up to 16 digits. To add a pause to a number, press call button. To add Flash to a number, press Flash.
- Press Save. Display indicates
ENTER NAME
. If you do not wish to add a name for the Memory key, go to the next step. To add a name, use the dialpad. - Press Save. This display shows
SAVED: MEMORY KEY
.
Double-Checking Programmed Keys
To view an item in the memory key:
- Press the memory key or the Shift plus the memory key to view the contents of that key.
- Display screen will show any number and name programmed to that key. Display will briefly indicate
EMPTY
.
Using Memory Keys
To call from a memory key:
- Lift the handset or press Mute or Dial.
- Press the memory key, or Shift plus the memory key to obtain the number you wish to dial.
To predial from a memory key:
- Press the memory key, or Shift plus the memory key to obtain the number you wish to dial.
- Lift the handset or press either Dial or Mute.
Deleting Memory Keys
To delete a memory key:
- To see its contents, press the memory key.
- To erase, press Delete twice.
