Services for Guests
University of Minnesota guests can access the following technology services.
Moodle is an online learning system accessed by computers and mobile devices. Anyone can browse public sites with read-only access through Open Sites. In addition, non-University of Minnesota users can use Guest IDs in order to participate in Moodle sites, Wiki, myU portal, and other University services that allow guest access.
Eduroam is a secure, worldwide roaming wireless network access service developed for the international research and education community and is now available for University faculty, researchers, staff and students.
Alumni and retired staff can continue to use their email accounts after graduation or retirement if they use the account at least once every 90 days.
Email accounts are offered at no cost to qualified University-affiliated individuals. Anyone is eligible for an account, as long as that individual provides a service or function that directly impacts students, faculty, or staff. Units also may sponsor accounts through the Request Free Sponsored Internet Account Form.
Technology Help is your first point of contact for computer, Internet, and campus telephone support.
The University’s wireless network provides students, faculty, staff, and guests with wireless Internet access on the Twin Cities campus.
