Some of the most exciting research being
conducted at the University is happening in IT.
Our faculty, research associates, and students are exploring
the reaches of space, unlocking the secrets of Earth, and
expanding the powers of information technology. They're applying
engineering and technology to problems in medicine, biology,
and the environment.
You'll find them at the forefront of the emerging nanotechnology
revolution, but they're also advancing disciplines that have
engaged the human imagination for millennia: mathematics,
engineering, chemistry, physics, and astronomy.
IT faculty earn prestigious national
and international honors and top
University awards. As researchers, educators, and professionals,
they have expanded the scope of our collective knowledge,
enriched the education of their students, and applied their
creativity to the world of work and ideas. They are the heart
and soul of the college.
