Welcome from Jim Pichler, ITAS President

Hello fellow alumni and friends of the University of Minnesota,

As president of the Institute of Technology Alumni Society, often referred to as ITAS, I get to witness and partake in many exciting events happening within the University and specifically all the great stuff happening in IT. My alumni connection to the University allows me to get back onto campus and attend lectures, fund raising events, social parties, and most importantly for me, to feel like I am a contributor to the goals of the University.

The alumni team within the Institute of Technology has over 20 volunteer leaders on the board that run several programs each year that help to connect the alumni community back to the University in the following ways:

Build and maintain a strong and vibrant alumni organization of alumni members and friends who are engaged with the Institute of Technology;
Build and maintain a vital and valuable resource to alumni, friends, and employees of the Institute of Technology and its colleges;
Provide a link from the University to be a key resource for science, technology, and engineering industries; and,
Be a leader in providing information and support for the future STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) workforce.
