IT Alumni Society

With nearly 7,000 members worldwide, the IT Alumni Society (ITAS) is one of the most successful alumni societies at the University of Minnesota. ITAS members share a common mission—to cultivate a community dedicated to advancing education, science, and technology.

The society's award-winning programs connect IT alumni with the University and each other as they build relationships among the University community, students, industry, and the public.

IT Mentor Program

The Institute of Technology Mentor Program matches current science and engineering students with professionals in technical fields. These volunteer mentors help students prepare for the transition from the academic environment to the professional world.

Science & Technology Banquet

The S&T Banquet, an annual fund-raising and networking event, features nationally recognized keynote speakers and benefits IT scholarship fund.

Public lectures

The IT Public Lecture Series brings distinguished scholars to campus to discuss the impact of science and technology on our culture.

Local and national alumni events

Alumni enjoy social and networking events in Minnesota and across the country.

K-12 outreach

Through its K-12 outreach programs ITAS encourages students to develop an interest in science and technology. The society also provides connections to other scientific and technical education outreach programs in the community.

Legislative Network

Through the Legislative Network, ITAS and other alumni groups promote the University and its budget request to the state legislature.

Young Professional Series (YPS)

The Young Professional Series provides networking and professional development opportunities for recent Institute of Technology graduates designed for professionals in the early stages of their careers.
