IT Class of 1958 Reunion

The University of Minnesota Institute of Technology (IT)
Class of 1958 Reunion Committee invites you to participate in the
2008 commencement and join fellow alumni for a 50-Year Reunion Celebration on May 8–9, 2008.

Return to the Institute of Technology, reflect on the college’s past,
and revel in what the college has become. Reminisce with friends
and acquaintances of 50 years ago.

A formal invitation with specific event details and hotel reservation information will be sent by the end of March.

Schedule of Events

Thursday, May 8
6 p.m., Reception; 7 p.m., Program
Heritage Gallery, McNamara Alumni Center
Reconnect with classmates at the Class of 1958 Reunion Celebration. Rekindle past relationships at this complimentary reception with an hors d’oeuvre buffet (cash bar available). Institute of Technology Dean Steven L. Crouch will recognize members of the Class of 1958 with honorary medallions to be worn during commencement, and will also offer remarks on the current state of the Institute of Technology.

Friday, May 9
Continue the celebration at various events throughout the day.

• 1–2:15 p.m. Department tours, meet in the Walter Library lobby
• 2:30–3:45 p.m. Campus tour, meet in the Walter Library lobby
• 4 p.m. Free time to explore campus and shop at the University of Minnesota Bookstore
• 5 p.m. Class picnic, Gold Room, Northrop Memorial Auditorium, receive caps and gowns for the commencement ceremony
• 7 p.m. Commencement ceremony, lead the class of 2008 procession into Northrop Memorial Auditorium
• 9–10 p.m. Post-commencement reception, Campus Club Terrace, Coffman Memorial Union
